That's kinda the way I feel about the election now. The guy that's in charge has a shit load of coconuts, but keeps making electric tie racks or bongs. Now I am in no way saying that I could do his job better. I threw up on Friday before a project I had been working on for a month came to fruition, there's no way I could run a country, way too much stress.
FDR didn't run for re-election on the basis that Pearl Harbor was his finest hour. So why is Bush running on the fact that September 11th was his? God forbid something of that magnitude happens again. If September 11th was his finest hour, then I don't want to be here the second time around.
I was on the fence on who to vote for in this election. On the one hand you have Bush, while I don't agree with everything hes done, transitioning power in the middle of conflict doesn't seem like the greatest idea. Then you have Kerry. Call him a flip-flopper if you want, call him ugly too, but last time I checked you only pulled out the insults on a man's physicality because you're scared that you'll loose.
In my attempts to discern my outcome, I follow along the campaign trail. I saw the following in video form on the news the other night.
So before you decide Gilligan or the Skipper, think about this:
"I think when you make that decision, it might be well if you would ask yourself, are you better off than you were four years ago? Is it easier for you to go and buy things in the stores than it was four years ago? Is there more or less unemployment in the country than there was four years ago? Is America as respected throughout the world as it was? Do you feel that our security is as safe, that we're as strong as we were four years ago? And if you answer all of those questions yes, why then, I think your choice is very obvious as to whom you will vote for. If you don't agree, if you don't think that this course that we've been on for the last four years is what you would like to see us follow for the next four, then I could suggest another choice that you have. This country doesn't have to be in the shape that it is in."24 years later, those questions are still the ones most relevant today.

The best part about this country is my right to say what I just did, and your right to completely disagree.
