There was an old woman who lived in a shoe

So I got the photobloging to work! Fantastarific!

Graduation was on Saturday. I bought shoes the weekend before enroute to Scranton for Robert's graduation. Well I decided to be a rebel and not wear stockings with the shoes. I decided to not break them in either.

By the time I got to campus 1.5 hours before graduation started, I had to park in the last parking lot and hoof it to the room where the teachers were meeting. By the time I walked across campus (Read: about 1.5 city blocks) My feet hurt. Oh this was not a good sign. It was 8:30 and I knew Id be there until at least noon. We lined up to process in at 9:45AM. I look down at my throbbing feet only to see that I have blisters formed on the instep of both my feet and on the top of one of my toes. It hurt to walk. The teacher next to me goes, "You know if you wore stockings, I'm sure you'd be fine." Argh. I run back to the room we put the gowns on to grab the two band-aids I have in my purse and apply them to the instep of my feet. It was a temporary solution to a horrible more than temporary problem. I ended up surviving through the lunch that was provided. I walked out of the dining hall, kicked off the shoes and walked barefoot back to my car.

Once home I changed the bandages, and added bacitracin to help heal it up. Its better, but I took a shower about an hour ago and the entire 5 minutes was excruciating. Normally It takes me about 10-15 minutes in the shower. Today I couldn't get out fast enough. All the soap from the shampoo and conditioner as I washed it out of my hair just flowed over the now wound.

Lesson learned: There is only one shoe in the entire world that both looks cute and feels fantastic. I have yet to find that shoe.

Peace...

Current Music: Third Day - I've Always Loved You

"I don't know how to explain it, but I know that word will hardly do. Miracles and signs and wonders aren't enough for me to prove to you. Don't you know I've always loved you? Even before there was time. Though you turn away I tell you still, Don't you know I've always loved you? And I always will."
