Tonight Michele and I ventured into The City to see Another Day Wasted play the Acme Underground located in the east village on Great Jones Street. It was awesome. I got to show Michele my favorite painting. Its on the side of a building across the street from The Village Voice building. It was better than I remembered. On my travels from the 9th street path (fare has been raised to $1.50) through Washingston Square Park (a bunch of hippies were chillin and dancin and 5 black guys in red shorts doing a tumbling act (one looked like Busta Rhymes)) past NYU to Great Jones Street I walked right past a Culkin. It wasn't Macauley (sp?), me thinks it was one of the lesser Culkins, perhaps Kieran. He was buying water for himself and his friend as the friend tried to pick up some fine ladies with the use of the line, "Don't hate tha playa, hate tha game, yo."
Priceless.
This is why New York is the greatest city in the world.
ADW rocked. Vinny (lead singer) remded me of the lead singer of the strokes in his black shirt and white tie. They played a lot of new stuff. And my personal favorite Long Days Work. They had 2 new one that I loved. I dont remember the titles. The 3rd one and the last one in the set list. Ant told me the titles. I forgot. eh. I never made it to the after party at a bar that Ant said "it's up a block or two and like 3 over. I don't remember the name of it." He's lucky he has such a sweet ass.
That is all for now. Im off to bed.
Peace...
